For example, in the World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships, held in Singapore in 1983, Hermann Hoffend from FRG, Antonio Stella from ITA, and Alain Leroy from NCL were among the notable participants.
The contest is still running strong in 2023:
The 2023 Japan Pro declared Theo Leguerrier as the champion in the Men's Open category, Jo Uezato as the champion in Men's Physique, and Ashley Kaltwasser as the champion in Bikini.
The 2023 Tokyo Pro, saw Shicheng Jin as the winner, followed by Shi Tian Wang in second place, Ying Qi Lei in third place, Li-Hsuan Liu in fourth place, Chen Hui Lu in fifth place.
Overall, the IFBB Mr Japan bodybuilding contest showcases the talent and dedication of its participants it is only getiing better each year, with a long history of notable champions.
