1990 NABBA World Championships: The Women - Prejudging & Show

This contest was held in Geelong, VIC, Australia. We saw French star Sylvie Esmenjaud for the first time at a World Championships - and she's still going strong in 2006!!

This DVD brings you all the highlights from the Prejudging for all classes, plus all posing routines through to the posedown and final awards at the show. It is one of the greatest NABBA women's contest DVDs we have ever offered.

The Short Class Figure was won by the petite and lovely Claudia Mayrhofer of Austria, while the Figure Tall Class was convincingly won by Aussie Bronwyn O'Brien over Sylvie Esmenjaud - 2nd, and Stephanie Wehr of Germany in 3rd place.

Bernie Price of the UK won the Women's Physique Tall Class, and Tania Panza from Italy, with a simply awesome physique, took out the Short Class and won the Overall Physique title. She would be considered Ms Olympia material by any standards. She was simply sensational.

In the Women's Professional Physique Class, Germany's Sabine Wick completely dominated her opposition and with biceps and overall muscularity and condition that had to be seen to be believed, she was simply too strong. You can see Sabine in her own training DVD by clicking here for PCB-185DVD.

2009 Iron Man Pro

THE 20TH ANNUAL IRON MAN PRO! HISTORIC EVENT.

This annual Californian Pro event was held, along with the LA FIT EXPO, in the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 24th.

The show opened with Lonnie Teper’s tribute to the winners of the Iron Man contests over the past 19 years as a prelude to this the 20th year of the event. The past winners who were present were then presented on stage such as Shawn Ray, Chris Cormier, Flex Wheeler, Jay Cutler, Dexter Jackson and Phil Heath. This was a special moment for a group photograph with contest promoter John Balik.

There were 28 competitors from 14 countries making this an extremely even lineup. The top five were as follows:

All five are eligible to compete in the 2009 Mr. Olympia contest.
Not surprisingly the lighting by Mike Neveux and his crew was outstanding. It is always the best contest stage lighting I see at any event each year.

2009 WNBF SOUTH AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

This DVD presents a top class field from some of the best natural bodybuilders in South Australia. The event was staged by Hayzer Cayli and once again held in the Scott Theatre, Adelaide on September 12th. The show opened with a great performance from band The Fuzz and a unique show from Nayima Hassan and the girls of the Belly Dance Academy.

Many different classes from Schoolboys through to Masters were competed with the Overall Men’s Bodybuilding Title posedown open to all class winners.

This year the OVERALL MEN’S BODYBUILDING TITLE went to superb veteran Billy Bryson. In the Women's Fit Body Class section, the OVERALL Ms. FIT BODY winner was Kate Alderman. Both are pictured front cover above.

Billy Bryson is a legend in South Australian bodybuilding having won many titles over the years since 1988, and has represented Australia at the NABBA Worlds.

1988 IFBB Women's World & Pairs Championships

This classic women's contest was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico and included the Mixed Pairs Worlds as well. The DVD brings you all of the highlights from all 4 classes from the 2 events that day. See the top 6 women's complete posing routines in each of the women's 3 classes. This is followed by some compulsory poses, posedown and awards from 6th through to 1st.

The same format is followed with the mixed pairs. Includes the best team award to USA. The mixed pairs class is the final 20 mins of the DVD.

1990 Iron Man Pro Invitational

The 1990 Iron Man Pro was an historic event being the first ever Iron Man Pro competition. SHAWN RAY has the distinction of being the inaugural Iron Man Pro Invitational winner. Of special note was the appearance of Gary Strydom making his last IFBB appearance before going on to be the 1991 and 1992 WBF champion.

2008 Iron Man Pro - Weigh In and Pump Room

THE WEIGH IN
See all 32 of the Pros at the exciting weigh in with the on stage checking of body weight of every competitor by Lonnie Teper. Lonnie always makes the weigh in a very entertaining and special part of the event.

You will see impromptu posing by some of the guys such as newcomers Mr “freaky arms” NESET ICLI and ALFONSO DEL RIO – both pictured lower front cover. Others to pose at the weigh in included SILVIO SAMUEL, JOHNNIE JACKSON, MOE ELMOUSSAWI, TROY ALVES, DESMOND MILLER, JIMMY CANYON and more.

Chris Cormier made it four after winning the 2002 Iron Man Pro Invitational - with a hungry LEE PRIEST snapping at his heels in second place!!

In this exclusive 60 minute feast of muscle - the mighty Mike Mentzer flexes, tenses, oils, pumps and poses. Filmed in the late seventies at Mike’s all-time peak condition, while Mike was current Mr. Universe.

MIKE & RAY MENTZER IN THE GYM – Disc #2

The awesome Mentzer brothers, fuelled by their intense rivalry, show what they can do when they pump iron. Filmed in the gym in Los Angeles, they blast their way through an intense workout routine. It was a film demonstration workout, still using the actual heavy weights they would normally use.
After Mike flexes and poses each muscle group, they head for Venice Beach. Ray Mentzer oils, pumps and poses in a fantastic solo presentation. Plus duo posing as well to complete disc #2.

MIKE MENTZER THE FINAL CHAPTER – Disc #3

This 3rd and final DVD consists of all of our remaining segments of Mike and Ray Mentzer, combined into one super DVD feature as disc #3. Includes many posing, contest and workout segments from both Mentzer brothers. The first half of the DVD is devoted to Mike with Part 2 showcasing our rare footage of Ray.

GMV Productions was there to capture all the excitement and action with our 2 cameras. The Pump Room is an absolute highlight for backstage raw muscle action.

It was a repeat victory for Pro Champion - Eddie Ellwood, weighing in at a shredded 285lbs, as well as for John Citrone (190 lbs) in the Masters. And the Wonder from Down Under Pina Theodoridis winning her second overall Figure Class title. John Citrone holds the record for the most NABBA titles ever won.

2001 IFBB IRONMAN PRO INVITATIONAL

Held in the superb Redondo Beach Performing Arts Centre before a sell-out crowd, this famous Pro Show kicked off the season with 24 fantastic competitors.

It was a 3-peat victory for “The Real Deal” Chris Cormier, in the best condition of his life. In second place was the posing maestro "Marvellous" Melvin Anthony and in third place, newcomer "King" Kamali. The King also performed a wonderful routine that brought the house down.

Anthony & Kamali have now qualified for their first Olympia later this year.

This video includes key comparisons from the Prejudging; posing by all 24 competitors, the complete posing routines of the top 10; pose-down, awards and impromptu posing by JAY CUTLER.

IFBB Legend Tom "Golden Eagle" Platz Super 7 Mega Deal

Tom Platz BIO:

Thomas Steven Platz was born in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, an Army base, on June 26, 1955. For the Christmas of 1965, his parents' bought from Joe Weider Weight Set, that came with the training manual. Tom words, "I inherently felt these weights would change my life and be my life.

The plates were painted gold, made out of iron, and weighed 95 pounds in total, which consisted of a 15-pound straight bar and individual plates weight 5, 10, 25 with tiny collars. Our basement ceiling was so low, that my dad would have to lift the weights above his head, centering it between two rafters in the ceiling.

I continued to train in the basement of my parents' home, and my dad and I rigged up a makeshift bench out of a picnic bench covered with a rug. I continued to follow Weider's Training Manual, word for word, diagram for diagram."

Tom Today:

Tom Platz is one of the most sought after guest speakers in the world of bodybuilding, nutrition and general fitness. He is currently a Professor and Director of Bodybuilding Sciences at ISSA. Tom has a Masters in Fitness Science, Bachelors in Science Physiology and Nutrition from Wayne State University and Michigan State University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California.

Tom Platz retired from professional bodybuilding competition in 1987 and did a 'Comeback' in 1995 when he was awarded Honorary Mr. America. He still promotes the sport wholeheartedly. Tom says, "I just want to give back to the sport I love which has been really great to me." He is truly a legend in the fitness and bodybuilding industry.

2013 NABBA/WFF South Australian Bodybuilding, Figure & Fitness Championships

The 2013 NABBA/WFF South Australian Bodybuilding, Figure & Fitness Championships was held at the Norwood Town Hall on Saturday, September 21st The special guest poser international physique star LEE PRIEST. There was a large range of male and female bodybuilding and fitness classes, along with the fit and toned Sportsmodels.

It was a single show format with awards being presented for each class as the event went along.

The Overall NABBA Men's SA Champion was first time Open Class winner Matt Smedley who edged out multiple times S.A. Champion Jason Bednarz. The Overall NABBA SA Women's winner was Nikki Anae, noted for her brilliant posing.

In the WFF events, the Overall Champions were WFF MR. ATHLETIC WINNER: Samuel Mussared and WFF MISS ATHLETIC WINNER: Kerry Ware.

The Overall winner of the SPORTSMODEL was Emilie Foden.

This DVD presents the complete event from round one through to the final posedowns and awards.
As a special bonus see a massive and shredded Lee Priest pose and chat before he heads to UK to compete in the NABBA Universe in early October.
