This year there was a huge upset as Jay Cutler dethrones 8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman!!

A new Mr. Olympia is crowned and 8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman gets 2nd place to the awesome Jay Cutler! Although Ronnie was in great shape the extra 10 pounds of hard muscle put on by Cutler tipped the balance in his favour, Cutler won all four rounds of the show for a historic victory.

2008 Mr. Olympia DVD

Muscletime Titans Vol. 6 - Gustavo Badell - The Challenger

Gustavo Badell is the man who beat Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler in the 2005 Mr. Olympia Challenge round!! The DVD was filmed a few days out from the 2006 Arnold Classic in Gustavo's home town of Las Vegas. Also see bonus footage from the 2004 GNC and back stage at the 2006 Arnold Classic contests.

Gustavo Badell Bio:

Gustavo Badell was born on November 3, 1972 in Venezuela. He currently resides in Puerto Rico with his wife and two kids. Gustavo stands only 5'8" but weighs in on stage at a ripped 240 pounds. Of course, Gustavo must do a clean bulk prior to a contest where his weight can get as high as 270 pounds. He still keeps a low bodyfat during his pre-contest bulk, which is why Gustavo can easily switch from off-season to pre-contest mode very easily.

At the age of 15, Gustavo was actively involved with contact sports such as boxing and kickboxing. Two years later he started becoming involved with amateur boxing but was too skinny make a name for himself. His trainer suggested that he should start weight lifting to put on weight, and he then followed the rigors of an intense workout. After noticing his great genetics, and arms that were almost too big for his body, his fellow gym members suggested that he should get into bodybuilding. Gustavo never thought twice!

Gustavo`s bodybuilding career started slowly, but once he found a better rythm for himself, he has become one of the better pro bodybuilders in the IFBB.

Mark Dugdale - A Week In The Dungeon DVD

1987 NABBA Professional Mr. Universe: Prejudging and Show.

BIG STARS WITH THE FANS: Olev Annus (Finland), Jeff King (U.S.A.), Andre Maille (Canada), Bob Reis (U.S.A.) and Alfred Krautgartner (Austria).

For the first time in NABBA history the Professional Class was held on a separate day at a different venue to the 1987 NABBA Amateur Mr Universe in London. This year take a center front row seat as 15 magnificent muscular marvels pit muscle against muscle at the 1987 NABBA Professional Mr. Universe contest in Yorkshire, northern England. The date was 26th September, 2 weeks after the NABBA Amateur Mr Universe.

This premier bodybuilding competition was sponsored by Super Body Power, who generously put up the £17,000 (US$35,000) prize money as a fitting reward for the top competitors. This was a very considerable amount of money back in 1987. They also sponsored a Super Body Power Pro-Am contest as part of the same event for amateurs. This Pro-Am event was never released on video.

Former IFBB star and recent NABBA Mr World, OLEV ANNUS of Finland waged an intense battle with awesome JEFF KING of USA, and came out on top as the sensational and hard fought winner. In his first Grand Prix victory, Charles has beaten both Kevin Levrone (2nd Mr. Olympia 1992) and Flex Wheeler (2nd Mr. Olympia 1993) and the only way is... UP!

Making an emotional Professional debut was the ever popular Brit IAN HARRISON who placed 6th, while fourth place getter SONNY SCHMIDT of Australia narrowly edged out his close friend MILOS SARCEV into 5th place.

Other entrants included RAY McNEIL, PETER REID, EDDY ELLWOOD, J.J. MARSH, RON LOVE, JOHN SHERMAN AND ARTHUR BUURMAN.

1986 NABBA Mr & Miss Midlands & Oscar Awards - Show

Staged by Jim Charles and held at the Brierley Hill Civic Hall on Saturday, 5th April, 1986 this was a top class British event.

The Oscar Awards was a Pro-Am type class, held in tribute to the NABBA legend, Oscar Heidenstam. It attracted such big USA stars as VINCE TAYLOR and MARLON DARTON plus local star VINCE D'ALESSANDRO and more.

The Marlon Darton photos were taken by Wayne Gallasch in USA, shortly before this contest.

Includes a brief victory speech by the Oscar Awards winner MARLON DARTON.
VINCE D'ALLESANDRO was the Overall Mr Midlands winner.
The Women's Overall winners were JUNE GRIFFITHS and LESLEY WHITEHOUSE.

The star Guest Spot was Helen Taylor and Deena Goodall with their acrobatics act.
