2009 Arnold Classic: The Women’s Finals - FIGURE, BODYBUILDING, FITNESS

The Finals DVD delivers all the exciting action from one of the world’s premiere women’s events. In the Fitness International contest, the sublimely athletic Jennifer Hendershott proved to be too strong for Julie Palmer and the rest of her opposition.

The gorgeous Figure International line-up was better than ever with Zivile Raudoniene winning for her first time at the Arnold Sports Festival from an outstanding runner-up in Gina Aliotti. Zivile is bound to be a serious threat at the Figure Olympia later this year.

In the Ms. International event, Debi Laszewski and Iris Kyle were the two main contenders in this class with Iris taking her 4th Arnold title at this event to now equal the record number of victories in the women’s bodybuilding competition. As usual, Californian Governor and the namesake of the event, Arnold Schwarzenegger, talked to the delighted winners on stage and added his legendary charm to this world class contest.

1997 NABBA Australian Championships: The Men's – Prejudging
2 DVD set includes BONUS Pump Room disc.

Shot in the Melbourne Town Hall on May 25th, 1997, this DVD includes Pump Room footage of some of the best bodies in Australia in the late 90s.

The event turned out to be a titanic struggle between former Mr. Australia and Masters Mr. Universe GRAEME LANCEFIELD of Victoria, and newcomers GRANT MAYO from New South Wales, and BILL BRYSON from South Australia. Graeme had the 20" arms and huge upper body, Bill was shredded, but Grant Mayo produced the best overall package on the day.

In the Tall Class, Mr. Posing Perfection MARK TREWARTHA was in his all time best condition to win his first Open Class Australian title. He is a former Teenage Mr. Australia winner.

This DVD includes the complete men’s prejudging from Round 1 to the Posing in Round 2 to the Comparisons in Round 3.

Legends Collection # 18: Bodybuilding Expo # 5, CA

1984 EXPO # 5 BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS

See a whole lineup of "Legends" at the famous Bodybuilding Expo # 5 in Los Angeles, CA in 1984.
Back for the fifth-time in LA, EXP0 # 5 is the event of the year that brings it all together, being the largest body building and strength spectacular in California.

The Expo took place at the Disneyland Hotel Convention Centre on July 21st and 22nd, 1984. The highlights included six of the World's top professional bodybuilders posing on stage together in a mind bending display of muscle.

Mike Dayton (see our separate DVD) being shot before he pretend han - ged himself - also grabbed people's attention in his incredible "anything goes" act. Do not try this stuff at home!

We produced a number of videos from this event, such as this EXPO # 5 BODYBUILDING DVD, THE JOHN BROWN & TIM BELKNAP SEMINAR, THE MIKE DAYTON STRENGTH SHOW, and taped the next day, THE KAY BAXTER DVD. (See details at the bottom of this page.)

This EXPO # 5 BODYBUILDING SHOW DVD includes the full posing routines of all the top MEN AND WOMEN and their posedowns, the posedowns in the two classes of the men's competition and the full routines of the mixed pairs.

This is followed by fantastic guest posing performances by the following stars: - John Brown (1981 & 1982 NABBA Mr Universe), Carla Dunlap (1984 Miss Olympia), Tim Belknap (1985 NABBA Mr Universe), Kay Baxter (National Physique Champion), Mike Sable (Mr World), Mary Roberts (recent runner up World Mixed Couples Championships) and Rufus Howard (Mr America).

To top this off the guest posers closed the show with an all-together muscle extravaganza posedown which had the audience of 2000 standing and shouting for more.

This is a very exciting DVD, especially for lovers of American bodybuilding stars of the eighties.

Dorian Yates Blood & Guts The DVD - 15th Anniversary Edition - 2 DVD Set

This is the NEW and ULTIMATE VERSION of DORIAN YATES BLOOD & GUTS DVD. The 2 DVD set. (Check out the awesome preview clip below.)

*** In Celebration of this updated version of the 15th Anniversary Edition of this DVD - May 2011.

We have added an extra 4 minutes to the total running time with 2 new scenes, and updated the PHOTO GALLERY & BIO with some new material. We also updated the DVD cover as well!

The 2 new scenes are Dorian's Guest Posing at the 1993 EFBB British Championships and scenes of Dorian at the 2010 Mr. Olympia 45 Years Reunion.

Disc #1 is 89 mins and Disc #2 now runs for 128 mins for a TRT of 217 mins.

We have added around two and a half hours of NEW MATERIAL to present all of the life time footage that we could find featuring the fabulous career of 6 time Mr Olympia, DORIAN YATES. Much of this was shot by us during Dorian's career and includes our last interview with him in 2002 at the Olympia Expo.

The contest footage covers his career from his first British victory in 1986, to his Olympia appearances (thanks to the generosity of Andy Olson of Magna Media) to many of his Grand Prix victories to guest posing and more.

Not to be missed are the 25 minutes of wonderful, interesting and funny out- takes, thanks to Mark Dugdale and cameraman Joel Barham, from their shooting with Dorian recently at the Temple Gym in Birmingham. This footage was shot whilst filming Mark's latest DVD "A week in the Dungeon", available from Mark Dugdale as well as from GMV.

After we scoured our video archive for most this new material we then went back through our photo files from all the contests that we or our photographers have covered during Dorian's career. This has turned up a number of fabulous, previously unseen photos which have been scanned and added to the huge PHOTO GALLERY. It now contains around 150 photos covering every aspect of Dorian's career from training in the gym to the stage to private and informal shots. Our thanks to Dorian, Lee Dickens and all who contributed photos. We hope that you will enjoy what is now the Ultimate Edition of the Ultimate video record of the career of the Ultimate Mr Olympia - DORIAN YATES.

DORIAN YATES BRIEF BIO:

Born in Hurley, Staffordshire, near Birmingham, England, Dorian Yates commenced working out in 1983. The man dubbed “The Shadow” (by FLEX Editor-in-Chief Peter McGough) shone a new light of awareness onto training methods with his brief but very high-intensity workouts. After some important victories in England – 1985 Novice Championships and 1986 and 1988 British Championships – Yates visited New York for the 1990 Night of Champions and, in his pro debut, he took second place to Mohamed Benaziza. He vowed that next year he would return to win this contest. He did!

In 1991, Yates was the runner-up at the Olympia to Lee Haney, who won his eighth record-setting Olympia and then retired. From 1992 through 1997, Yates dominated the sport’s highest title with 6 Sandows in a row. In 1994, he overcame a torn biceps to win the crown. In 1997, his most valiant victory came when he tore a triceps three weeks prior to the contest, but still battled on to victory. Due to the injury, Yates was forced to retire at the peak of his career, with a pro record of 15 wins and two second-place finishes. Being a six-time Mr Olympia should say it all, especially when you consider the freakiness with which he redefined all the parameters of bodybuilding. He is truly a legend of the sport and to many people, the greatest bodybuilder of all time!

Dorian still runs his famous Temple Gym in Birmingham and also now has his own line of supplements.

2008 NABBA-WFF International - The Men

More than sixty superb competitors gathered at the Camberwell Civic Centre, Melbourne on Saturday 10th of May 2008.

A huge variety of NABBA and WFF categories were present, ranging from muscular bodybuilder categories to the more aesthetic look of the athletic men. The winners amongst the NABBA competitors qualified for the 2008 NABBA Worlds in Greece, while the WFF winners were off to Germany for the massive 2008 WFF Universe.

Overall, the quality of competitors was first rate and MC Nick Jones was lavish in his praise.

This DVD is all the men from the NABBA and WFF categories.

2000 NABBA Australian Championships: Men's Judging

This year's event was held in the state of Queensland, in the NE of Australia. The 2000 Australia was a showcase for local, national and international talent. International - because most of the Australia winners went on to win at the World Championships in New Zealand just 2 weeks later.

There were 8 men's classes, including the 4 Open Classes, Men's Junior, Men's Novice, Men's Masters and for the first time, a Men's Fitness class.

1970 & 1971 NABBA Universe

1970 and a still young Arnold Schwarzenegger wins his final NABBA crown in England. A very historic film.

You'll also see Franco Columbu, Frank Colombera, Johnny Fuller, Chris Dickerson, Boyer Coe, Dave Draper, Reg Park, Al Beckles, John Citrone, Walter O'Malley, Helmut Riedmeier, Brian Eastman & Frank Richard.

And also on this tape the 1971 NABBA Universe - the Amateur winner was Ken Waller the Professional winner was Bill Pearl. Also includes Frank Zane, Reg Park and the great Sergio Oliva.

Special note: Please bear with us on this great classic. It was shot under conditions that today just wouldn't be tolerated. The lighting was poor, and given the technology of the day the quality is the best we can achieve under the circumstances. Shot on film, transferred to video, and music added.

Most of these photos were taken by the late great George Greenwood, who authorised their use by Wayne Gallasch many years ago.

60 Year History of the NABBA Universe 1950 - 2010 2 DVD SET

Reminiscences by Ivan Dunbar “A Tremendous Time”.

NABBA is the first and original international bodybuilding association. Commencing in 1950, NABBA's first Mr Universe contest was won by Steve Reeves (pictured left) who defeated Reg Park.

Some of the other great legends of the sport besides Reeves who won the Mr Universe title include Reg Park, Bill Pearl and Arnold Schwarzenegger (four-times winner).

The 1948 Universe was sponsored by Health & Strength magazine and it was staged by its Health Strength League. It was won by John Grimek who defeated Steve Reeves.

This fantastic trip down memory lane is narrated by IVAN DUNBAR who is the only person to have attended every single Universe contest from 1948 to 2008. Ivan was World President of NABBA International till he sadly passed away 10th August, 2009.

We updated the interviews with Ivan at the October 2008 Universe. We have been working on this massive 6 HOUR DVD set since then.

Ivan talks of the highlights over the years, with interesting and amusing stories about many of the famous names.

Names such as John Grimek, Clarence Ross, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chet Yorton, Dave Draper, Charles Clairmonte (four-times winner), Bill Pearl (pictured left, another 4-times winner), Frank Zane, John Citrone, John Terilli, Lance Dreher, Ed Kawak, Eddy Ellwood and many more.

In the last section of the DVD, Ivan pays tribute to the amazing women of the Universe.

Ivan also pays tribute to Oscar Heidenstam, who for 34 years ran the Universe shows until he died in 1991.

The complete video footage of the 50th NABBA UNIVERSE ANNIVERSARY DINNER & POSING HIGHLIGHTS has been released as a separate DVD.

Throughout this massive DVD set you will see posing clips and photos of many of these great stars as they are mentioned - from Grimek and Arnold right up to present day champions such as Eddy Ellwood, Ed Kawak, Salvatori Orazio, Hassan Alsaka, Tomas Bures to Martin Kasal.

There have been so many great champions it was difficult selecting the cover images. However all champions are included in the PHOTO GALLERY.

Eddy Ellwood holds the record with 5 successive victories. Ed Kawak also achieved 5 victories over a period of years.

The DVD set covers all the Universe winners from 1948 to 2009 and all winners are listed in the end of disc # 2 for every category for Men and Women.

This DVD set is dedicated to the memory of Ivan Dunbar, RIP. Without his input, help and support, this set would not have existed.

Our first video was originally released as "History of the NABBA Universe: 1948 to the Present".

It still includes the 1948 Universe reference of course and this initial version has been retitled to become Disc #1 in the 2 DVD set covering all years from 1948 to 2009 inclusive, see content details below.

The initial interviews with Ivan were recorded in Birmingham on the 2nd and 3rd of October 1997 on the eve of the 1997 Universe. They cover the Universe contest from 1948 to 1996 inclusive.

We updated the interviews with Ivan at the October 2008 Universe in Southport, taking up from the 1997 Universe onwards.

The special tribute to Ivan Dunbar by Nigel Gordon-Rae at the 2009 NABBA Universe is included in Disc #2, followed by posing clips of all of the 2008 and 2009 Universe winners.

There is also a special tribute to Reg Park by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Reg was Arnold's inspiration in his bodybuilding career.
