Paul Anderson - The Strongest Man in Recorded History.

This is a fantastic story of one of America's greatest athletes and humanitarians.

After only three years of competitive lifting, Paul Anderson had become a national hero and world renowned as “THE STRONGEST MAN OF THE CENTURY”. In 1956 he traveled to Melbourne, Australia, were he won a gold medal in the Olympic Games.He was the last American heavyweight lifter to do so.

By 1957 he had established 18 American and 9 World Records, and in June of 1957 he lifted 6,270 pounds in a backlift: a feat most believe will never be equalled.

Many experts have described this modern-day Samson as the strongest man who has ever lived.

On February 29, 1992, in Orlando, Florida, at the first USA Power and Strength Symposium, Paul Anderson was recognized as THE STRONGEST MAN OF THE CENTURY.

Since the late ‘50s he has traveled thousands of miles each year sharing his message: love of God, Country, and the free-enterprise system. In 1961 he and his wife Glenda established the Paul Anderson Youth Home, which provides Christian rehabilitation for young men who would otherwise be sentenced to juvenile or adult penal institutions.

Paul E. Anderson brief bio

Born Oct. 17, 1932, Toccoa, GA
Died Aug. 15, 1994

Although his competitive career was very brief, Anderson may have been the best American weightlifter ever. He won the U. S. heavyweight championship in 1955 and 1956. After winning the world championship by a record margin of 82 pounds, he was strongly favored for the 1956 Olympic gold medal. He had a hard time winning it, which he did while he was recovering from strep throat.

Needing 187.5 kilograms in his third lift to match Humberto Selvetti of Argentina, Anderson failed twice but made the lift on his third and final try. He won the medal because he weighed thirteen pounds less than Selvetti.

Anderson went on to set many records as a professional powerlifter, including a bench press of 627 pounds, a squat of 1,200, and a dead lift of 820. On June 12, 1957, he lifted the greatest weight ever, 6,270 pounds in a back lift off trestles.

Pearls of Wisdom - Bill Pearl

This DVD is genuinely one of the rarest in my collection. Very little footage exists on the great BILL PEARL, author of "Keys to the Inner Universe" and other well known books. He is also probably one of the world's greatest bodybuilding trainers. Bill has been the force behind many of the world's top physiques for the past 30 years, including the great Chris Dickerson, Mr. Olympia 1982.

BILL PEARL is assisted in the seminar in Australia by his long time friend DENNIS TINERINO. Their Pearls of Wisdom cover such subjects as diet advice, nutrition versus drugs, training philosophy for bodybuilders and athletes, bodybuilding politics, contest preparation, sleep, pain barriers, injuries and much more. Any serious bodybuilder will be fascinated by the information given jointly by BILL and DENNIS in this master class seminar.

It was shot only a few days after Dennis won the IFBB Professional Mr. Universe title in Sydney, Australia. He maintained his magnificent condition for the seminar as you will see during his flawless posing routine. BILL also presents his unique posing display in Australia with all his famous poses, making this DVD a true collectors' item.

Held in Southport, England on October 24th, the 2009 NABBA Universe WOMEN’S DVD provides an in-depth look at some of the best female FIGURE AND BODYBUILDING athletes in the world. See Finland’s top two physique women PAULIINA TALUS and MARJA KÄLVÄLÄ as they go head to head in the gym and then on the contest stage in the Pose Down for the Finnish Team to the Women’s World Bodybuilding Championships. PAULIINA who placed 2nd is now an IFBB Pro. MARJA, the winner, has previously placed high in the Women’s Worlds and hopes to win her class next time. The third placed woman in the posedown is KATJA RYDSTRÖM.

In the hard core gym workout both women demonstrate their favourite exercises. PAULIINA, a former sprinter is famous for her massive calves and incredible leg development. MARJA dominates and impresses with her perfect symmetry, fantastic delts and overall condition. This is the only women's DVD we ever shot in Finland.

2000 NABBA World Championships - The Men: Show

Held on June 17th in Christchurch, New Zealand, the world’s best male bodybuilders competed for the first World titles of the new Millennium. This classic contest was shot with 2 cameras.

One of the highlights of the show was the posing of 14 year old Russian Teen sensation, MIKHAIL SCHOUBOV, a definite young star of the future.

Gary Guinn of USA stopped Australia from making it a clean sweep in the Men's Open classes. His physique was top class.

CHARLES DUCA won Overall and his 3rd World title, also another record.

The Men’s Athletic and Fitness Classes were 2 new classes showing huge potential.

The DVD includes posing by all the competitors, Class and Overall posedowns and all presentations.

1997 IFBB Finnish Pro Bodybuilding Grand Prix

Held in Helsinki Finland on October 4th, 1997, this Grand Prix saw one of the strongest fields of pros seen in Europe for many years. They had gathered in Scandinavia to fight it out for supremacy in the 1997 IFBB Finnish Grand Prix.

KEVIN LEVRONE proved to be a very narrow winner over a shredded CHRIS CORMIER and the soon to be new Mr. Olympia, RONNIE COLEMAN.

Nasser El Sonbaty was 4th, although he felt he should have been placed higher. In 7th place was Finland’s own legend MARKO SAVOLAINEN. He was extremely popular with the large crowd, while Vince Taylor, Lee Priest and Geir Borgan Paulsen were also very popular stars with the audience.

The event was produced by K.P. Ourama Fitness Productions, and this DVD presents the complete evening Finals - including the posedown and awards. The DVD is also a nice tribute to the memory of Nasser.
