2020 Arnold Strongman Classic

Celebrating 32 Years of the Arnold Classic

The 2020 Arnold Classic and Arnold Sports Festival are Presented by Classic Productions. Celebrating the 32nd Anniversary of the IFBB Pro League Arnold Classic and the 13th Arnold Amateur NPC Championships. March 5 - 8, 2020 Columbus, Ohio. The first 5 events were held at the Rogue Strongman Arena at the Greater Columbus Convention Centre, and the final event was at the Battelle Grand Ballroom. The Presenting Sponsor was ROGUE Fitness.

This year saw some challenges, but all of the contests took place as usual. The Arnold Sports Festival is the world’s largest multi-sport festival.

Congratulations to the winner HAFTHOR BJORNSSON of Iceland, winning his third ARNOLD STRONGMAN CLASSIC. Mateusz Kieliszkowski of Poland was second, 2 points behind Hafthor and Martins Licis of USA was third. Mateusz Kieliszkowski broke the Arnold Strongman Classic world record by locking 320lbs in the Cyr dumbbell strategic challenge. Hafthor Bjornsson also won the Elephant Bar Deadlift Event with a lift of 465kg / 1026lbs on the second attempt!

LADY ADONIS - KAY BAXTER

A TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE FIRST LADY OF BODYBUILDING - KAY BAXTER YOUNG

This award winning feature chronicles Kay's rise from obscurity in the late seventies to the pinnacle of bodybuilding fame in the early 80s. Includes previously unreleased archival footage as Kay's career is recalled and celebrated in a series of montages.

Kay Baxter Young starred in more bodybuilding films and videos than any other female bodybuilder, and this quintessential look at this world famous lady gives an amazing insight to Kay the person and Kay the bodybuilder.

Kay placed 8th in her first Ms. Olympia in 1982 and 16th in 1984, but never considered wavering from her pursuit of maximum muscle. “Someone had to stick her neck out for the cause of muscular women ... and I’ve got no regrets about that... not one”, she said. One of her catchphrases was "Get built without guilt".

Kay died in a car crash in LA in 1988 just as her career was moving towards films. She was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2001.

The DVD also includes clips of Vince Gironda, Hannie van Aken, Gary Leonard, Don Ross, Diana Dennis and more.

1992 EFBB British Championships: The Show

Each year the EFBB British Championships determines which two bodybuilders will join the professional ranks. Tensions run very high indeed! 1992 was no exception with one of the most controversial decisions ever - judging by the "boos" when each place was called out in Heavyweight Class (Over 90kg).

When it got to fourth place we witnessed one of the most disgraceful exhibitions of bad sportsmanship we have ever seen, when MICK THEO, not content with his fourth place, walked over to the girl holding the enormous first place trophy, grabbed it off her and hurled it to the floor! We read that he was suspended for two years.

First place getter, and new Professional, JAY DEE DOWADU (see front cover photo) was outstanding, and fully deserved his brilliant win! When J.D. was announced winner of his class, the stage was over run with his supporters, with as many as 30 fans swamping the triumphant (but bewildered) bodybuilder. However, he didn't have it all his own way in the Overall posedown, as he was pushed to the limit by NABBA Universe and Mr. World Class winner, ROBERT WALL.

JD Dawodu went on to have quite a successful pro career. He was always noted for his magificent arms. (See PCB-154DVD The Prejudging)

2012 Arnold Strongman Classic

World records were set, and then the exciting final event was held on stage in front of thousands of fans on Saturday night. See all five events.

Michael Jenkins of Hershey, PA won his first Arnold Strongman Classic contest over an international field. This new star captured the 11th Annual Arnold Strongman Classic title.
Jenkins set three world records, in the Circus Dumbbell, Timber Carry and the Austrian Oak Lift.
Events included: Shouldering Apollon’s Wheels, Circus Dumbbell, The Austrian Oak, The Deadlift and the Timber Carry.

The opening section of the DVD features all of the contests and guest posing we have of Frank, transferred from the original film footage (111 mins).

In the second half of this feature, see Wayne’s historic footage of Frank posing for him in London on the very day he won the 1972 Professional Mr. Universe title. Plus many other highlights of Zane incredible career. (54 mins)

2020 Arnold Amateur NPC Women #1 - Bikini, Masters Bikini and Wellness

March 5 - 8, 2020, Columbus, Ohio:

The 2020 IFBB Arnold Classic and Arnold Sports Festival are Presented by Classic Productions. Celebrating the 32nd Anniversary of the IFBB Arnold Classic and the 14th Arnold Amateur Championships. Held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center’s Battelle Grand.

More than 650 of the top amateur competitors from around the world competed in 11 divisions at the 14th Annual Arnold Amateur NPC International Championships.

“Athletes represented more than 80 different countries this year making it again one of the biggest international events of its kind,” said Bob Lorimer, President of Classic Productions Inc.

The Women’s DVD #1 of 2 presents all of the classes of the BIKINI and MASTERS BIKINI contests and WELLNESS.
