1986 IFBB Professional World Championships - Men

64 solid minutes of some of the most famous bodybuilders of the 1980’s. Won by Rich Gaspari, we also see Mike Christian, Dave Hawk, John Terilli, and many more.

This classic contest saw intense competition between some of the greatest bodybuilders of the ‘80s and early ‘90s. After a titanic struggle Rich Gaspari came out on top from Mike Christian and UK’s Frank Richard, with Australia’s John Terilli in 5th place. Bob Paris managed to round out the top 6. Many other champions filled the placings from 7th to 18th place.

1992 German Grand Prix

This professional event was held in Duisburg, Germany on 20th September, just days after DORIAN YATES' historic victory in the '92 Olympia. Dorian was the first non-American resident to win the Olympia crown and tonight he was the sensational guest poser together with ACHIM ALBRECHT and YOLANDA HUGHES.

The star studded lineup - worthy of an Olympia contest - boasted 16 of the world's best and they were as follows, with placings of the top 6 shown. This was the first Grand Prix victory for KEVIN LEVRONE - surely destined to be a future Mr. Olympia!

This is the first time we have presented the following NABBA Champions in an IFBB video:

OHF 1998 Hall of Fame # 4: Paul Wynter

The 7th Annual Memorial Dinner & OHF Hall of Fame Awards.

The Oscar Heidenstam Foundation honours exceptional athletes and those who by their endeavour and ambassadorship serve and inspire others. The OHF Hall of Fame Dinner was held annually on the third Saturday in March, from 1992 to 2008.

See the world-famous honourees, distinguished guests and the many other personalities who attended. Enjoy the tributes, speeches, presentation of awards, and memorabilia displays. There are impromptu times of entertainment with moments of agility and various strength feats from time to time.

PAUL WYNTER was the main guest of honour receiving the OHF Hall of Fame Award. He was the 1960 & 1966 NABBA Pro Universe Overall Winner. He also appeared in numerous Hercules movies.

The Outstanding Contribution to Physical Culture Award went to NORMAN & SYLVIA HIBBERT – THE ZEETONNS.
The OHF Special Recognition Award went to JACK LALANNE from USA “The King of Fitness”.
The OHF Gymnastics Award went to DAPHNE LEEWORTHY.
The Dr Tom Temperley Award went to MICHAEL BARTLETT.

After their award, Norman and Sylvia Hibbert gave an impromptu hand-balancing and agility display. Sylvia Hibbert was the 1968 NABBA Bikini Universe winner.

Norman Hibbert recently sent me a copy of his autobiography “My Life - A Balancing Act”. Norman has spent his whole life working out and practicing balancing. For much of his earlier life, Norman worked in show-business both in films, and with his wife Sylvia with their act “The Zeetonns”. He was secretary of NABBA from 1991 till 1998. It is a wonderfully fascinating book, and is thoroughly recommended.

Arnold Schwarzenegger - The Early Years DVD

** Approximately 109 minutes of Arnold **

A part from the 73 minutes of early contest and outdoor posing footage of Arnold and Franco, the bonus material from this collector's DVD includes more recent out-takes, on-stage and behind the scenes video from the Arnold Classic.

Firstly we see Arnold on stage in England aged 19 on the 28th of January 1967, doing curls and then guest posing. Next aged 20 while outdoors in a garden he pumps up with DB curls before posing. This includes closeups of his amazing arms and is the earliest Arnold colour footage we know of.

In 1970 you see Arnold as he wins his final NABBA Universe in the Pro class. Also seen briefly are Draper, Zane, Columbu, Coe, Beckles and more. This is followed by brief highlights from the 1970 Mr Olympia. The Olympia footage is poorly lit but included in the DVD as it is so rare. See Joe present the trophy to Arnold at this event.

A real highlight is Arnold guest posing aged 23 in USA along with Franco posing at the same event.

1972 poolside on the Gold Coast in sunny Australia, Arnold and Franco pump and pose both individually and duo in a superb in-depth segment including more great closeups of Arnold's huge arms. No other similar outdoor posing footage of Arnold was ever recorded in his career.

1972 was a very big year for Arnold as we see him defeat Sergio at the 72 Mr Olympia in Essen, Germany. This segment runs around 10 minutes and is the only known footage of the 1972 Mr Olympia event. Posing also by Serge Nubret, Franco Columbu and Arnold plus posedown and award for his 3rd Olympia crown.

In 1974 it was back to Australia again for more guest posing, this time at the IFBB Mr Southern Hemisphere contest, with posing also by the winner, Roger Walker, later 6th 1980 Mr Olympia.
